What is Chroma Key?

Chroma Key is a VFX technique which is used to mask or remove the background by selecting a colour. Usually Green colour. Chroma Key may also be called as a Green Screen. Step 1 : Film a short clip.

Go to media and import any image or video before actually importing the actual green screen. Now tap on Layer and import the Green Screen Footage. Do make sure to import the green screen footage as a layer and not the original layer.

Step 3 : Open Chroma Key.

Tap on "Chroma Key" option to open up the chroma key interface. The chroma key option automatically pops in once you import any video clip with a green background, probably.

Step 4 : Enable Chroma Key.

You will first have to enable chroma key by tapping on "Enable". Do refer to the image displayed above. You can now add effects, texts or even adjust the transparency of the green screen layer right through KineMaster. You can also resize the clip by pinching in and out. As well as move the clip anywhere on the screen.

Step 5 : Save your progress.

Now export your short video by tapping on the share button. It's the same design as android share button, Facebook share button etc. Once you tap on the share button. You will be asked to choose the export size and quality. Depending on your device, you'll get different resolution sizes. Just choose 720p, 8 Mbps bit rate, and 30 FPS. Once the export is complete. Go to your gallery and play the video.
